Kawaii toys
I’m deeply fascinated by Japanese/Asian design toys, especially vinyl toys, amigurumi (crocheted stuffed dolls) and nuigurumi (stuffed dolls), and of course ball jointed dolls. A commonly used word for the style of these toys is kawaii, which can be translated into “cute”. I typically don’t like the characters that are cute only, they have to have some aspect of bizarreness to them as well. As such, company San-X has made most of my all time favourites, like Kogepan - the sad red bean bread that was burnt badly in the oven and spends its days getting drunk on milk and being depressed about life.
