So, after having stopped the 365/366 projects, I’ve not been taking many photos – except documenting the life and fall of my tulips… When we get home in the afternoon it’s still too dark to take any decent photos, last weekend was spent at my parents’ celebrating my birthday, and this weekend I’ve been down with a darn cold (oh the joy of having kids in daycare – this is what you get). I’ve put together a contraption for the Kodak Duaflex I have from my grandparents, though, and today I sneaked out for half an hour to test it out.

When combined with different Photoshop actions, the TTV photos can become really awesome, some are even great in their own rights. It took some time getting used to the bubble glass on top of the Duaflex and how it distorts what you see, and also how everything gets mirrored. I am really looking forward to testing this out more thoroughly!

Awesome weather today, called for some outdoor photography. I really like photos of threes. :)

Difficult shot to get right – the photo, not the espresso. ;) Will have to work more on this, by pre-focusing manually on the area where the espresso drops. I had a visitor when this was taken and didn’t allow myself more than a couple of tries.

These are the new colour pencils I got on Monday, they’re pretty cool, no? Being woodless, they look a bit like crayons – they definitely don’t _feel_ «crayonish» when drawing with them, though! I am stocking up like a mad woman on sketching supplies lately, wondering when I will start using them..? Last year I started a sketch blog on Jan 1, and received a daily doodle challenge newsletter all through the year. The blog is still empty.

See my blog entry of yesterday (this morning, actually) about colour pencils. These pencils are Adrian’s – the croc lover, remember? Photo has been colour enhanced to illustrate my hopes for a more colourful year in 2008 – in all aspects of the word.

(and what’s up with the splash page on that Lyra site..?? O_o Maybe I should offer them my coding skillz in exchange of a lifetime supply of their pencils..?)
