Mysterious flickr
I’ve recently had a boost of attention towards my flickr account, the reason being a few decent but yet mediocre macros of butterflies. I am not playing the flattery game here, honest, I won’t even show any of the photos in this post. My point is that I have _loads_ of other photos on my stream that I personally hold _way_ above those butterflies, but has anyone but me noticed those? I think not. And the same thing applies to how some can get page up and page down of comments on photos that - at the best - are.. ok. I find myself gobsmacked by some of the photos that, judging by the comments, should be wallworthy at a fine arts gallery. I’ve realized that doing the rounds on others’ streams works wonders, but I don’t think I will ever _quite_ understand the mechanics behind how the flickr comments system works..

You do take amazing photos, and I love the one of your coffee cup with camera picture lol..
For me….. I’d rather bop around a website/flickr account, specialty on a site I’ve never been to before, and see what that person is about. I mean you sent all this time make a website and or take those photos and upload them.. why not look at everyone.. Well not with a fine tooth comb but almost..

Thank you for the compliment and for commenting, Kimm.
I too love visiting the “real” websites of people on flickr.

Flickr love is a mystery. I always get so excited when I get a boost of people viewing my pictures, and then kind of sad when the streak goes away. Who knows how it all goes? Not I, that is for sure.
I really enjoy looking at your pictures because they are always so pretty, they show the softness and beauty of life.
Have you ever printed out and framed some of your work?

No, no prints - not even of my kids since… 2002 or something. Poor Sebastian, every now and then he points at one of the baby photos of his older brother and asks “Is that me, mum? How about that one?” I’d better make that my fall project: printing at least a couple of photos of each kid for their room, and also a few of my artsy ones for the hall and perhaps even the livingroom.
Zooomr is even weirder than flickr - I’ve been around there for a couple of years, totally ignored but I’ve still uploaded because I have a free pro account and it’s nice to have a “backup” like that. Then, last week, out of nowhere people went crazy friending me and fav’ing my photos, even older ones… I am intrigued, to say the least.
